Unable to create new native thread

An Indexima cluster can be blocked with the following error in the log:

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread

This error indicates that Java was unable to create a new thread. Multiple system limitations can trigger this issue. In case you encounter this error, please check the following system parameters:

• The nproc  setting in /etc/security/limits.conf on a Linux system.

• The DefaultTasksMax parameter of systemd with systemctl show --property DefaultTasksMax  (helpful article: https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc/?id=000015901)
